Sleepover Overnight Bag.

For the last few days I have been busy making this "Melly and Me" bag called "Sleepover". I just love this pattern as it makes a great overnight bag with plenty of room for all that you need. It is a little challenging getting all the layers together but worth it. This one is for a friend who is having a birthday  on the weekend. I hope she likes it!

Crafty Hijinks Get Together

What a great day we all had at Ballarat. It was great to meet new people and catch up with the old. I would like to give Jodie and Gillian a great big thank you for organizing such a successful day. A big thank you to all the people who gave us a donation for the many door prizes and fantastic raffles too. The day just flew by and after a lesson on colour use, platted rag rug and hexies it was time to say goodbye but not before a visit to The Crafty Squirrel which is a delightful little shop in Ballarat. I will certainly be on the attendance roll for next years event!

FNWF at Tracee's

What a wonderful night we had last night at Tracee's. The fire was lit and candles burning to give a magical atmosphere and with the smell of curried chicken, sausage rolls, dips, cheese and fresh vegies we were ready to eat! With full bellies and enthusiasm we busied our hands with our craft projects together with a desert of fruited jelly.  Before we knew it,  it was 11:00pm and time to call it a night. I am looking forward to our next FNWF.

Busy hands!

This will be fun tonight.

I am going to Tracee's together with Sue and Tania.
August Challenge

The Gisborne Quilters August challenge was to make a quilt for Blankets Of Love. I had this cute panel in my stash so I thought it most suitable.

Spring Time at Last!

Spring Is In The Air!

I may not get much sewing done today as the sun is shining and it is actually warm in Gisborne. It is a good day for planting out those few pot plants I just had to buy. I love this time of year when the bulbs are flowering!

First time user of the accuquilt machine.

Today I had a go at the accuquilt GO. Wow is all I can say. In just thirty minutes, and being a first time user I had cut out 90,  3.5 tumblers. So quick and accurate.

Now all I need to do is arrange them ,in a pleasing manner, and sew them together.

Under The Sea Quilt Challenge.

Wow I just found out where to type some text. Just click the mouse in the square here. What a nut I am! Now to put in a photo. Mmmmm.

This is the table runner I swapped for a challenge in July. The theme was," Under The Sea." It involved hand applique for the ladies, machine applique for the fish and 1/4 square triangles for the sea background. The picture is a bit out of focus, I am not a very good photographer!

Kangaroos abound

A Wedding Gift.

This is a fat quarter quilt I made for a friend as a wedding gift earlier in the year. I had it professionally quilted by Kerry of Macedon with an all over design of hearts. I was very pleased with the finished quilt.

Hello Blogger World

This is my very first day as a Blogger.
This is a table runner I made for my son and his partner who are now living in Hong Kong. It will remind them of Australia!
